X-SIG Seminar Series by Kevin Weinfurt
All are welcome to attend the Spring 2019 X-SIG Seminar Series. Our speaker for Spring 2019 is Dr. Kevin Weinfurt, Professor and Vice Chair for Research in the Department of Population and Health Sciences, Duke University School of Medicine. Light refreshments will be served!
Dr. Weinfurt co-directs Duke’s masters-level Clinical Research Training program and teaches undergraduate and graduate psychology classes, including the psychology of medical decision making. His research focuses on measuring patient-reported outcomes, medical decision making and bioethics.
In addition to Dr. Weinfurt’s Friday technical lecture, he will present a more general lecture on Thursday, February 7th at 6:00pm, entitled “Advancing Science Despite the Psychological Quirkiness of Scientists”. The Thursday lecture will be in Bowen Auditorium, McCreary 115.
