Event Title: February 15: Dr. Christina Bruner - "Inspectors General: Government Watchdogs and Why they Matter"Organization: EI-LEADERSHIP & PUBLIC AFFAIRSFebruary 15: Please join us for the first installment of the Women and Leadership Speaker Series. We are pleased to welcome Christina Bruner ’95 to campus. Dr. Bruner serves as the Director of the Strategy Management Office at the Office of Inspector General (OIG) in the U.S. Department of the Interior (DOI). In this role, Dr. Bruner unites her passions for effective stewardship of natural resources and for effective and ethical governance. As an oversight agency, the DOI-OIG detects, deters, and discloses to Congress and the public any waste, fraud, abuse of power, and mismanagement that it finds in the programs and operations in Interior. Interior programs cover a broad set of missions, including managing national parks, leasing Interior-owned property for cattle grazing and for conventional and renewable energy production, overseeing endangered species management, conducting scientific research, and fulfilling trust responsibilities to American Indians, among others.
