Sunderman Conservatory Wind Symphony Performance
The Sunderman Conservatory Wind Symphony performs in the Kennedy Center Concert Hall on Sunday, March 24 at 2 p.m.
The Wind Symphony is performing in the 2019 Sousa Band Festival, an annual festival held since 2012. Our Wind Symphony is the selected college ensemble, performing on a shared program with high schools from Florida and California.
Tickets for this concert are free and remain available. While it is too late to have them mailed, you can still indicate if you'd like them held at will call.
Music on the program includes selected movements from Vincent Persichetti's Divertimento, Op. 42 and Lincolnshire Posy by Percy Grainger, as well as Noisy Wheels of Joy by Eric Whitacre and, of course, two of Sousa's marches: The Volunteers and Easter Monday on the White House Lawn.
