Silent Reading Party
Event Title: Silent Reading Party (Reading Without Walls)
Organization: MUSSELMAN LIBRARY
Join fellow readers in enjoying a dedicated hour of silent reading! Light refreshments will be provided. This event is part of the Reading Without Walls program.
Reading Without Walls is a 3-part reading challenge for all students and employees. Choose titles that take you beyond your comfort zone to encounter new ideas and perspectives. The program runs from January-March 2020.
Here’s the challenge:
Read a book about a person/character from a different background or culture than yours Read a book on a topic you don’t know much about Read a book in a format or genre that you don’t normally read for fun (graphic novel, audiobook, poetry, etc.).
Participants will earn prizes upon registration and as challenges are completed. Fun events (like a Silent Reading Party and Speed Dating with a Book) will provide opportunities for readers to share titles and to develop our campus reading community.
Reading Without Walls is sponsored by Musselman Library.
