Queer History in Latin America: Navigating through Machismo culture, Dictatorships and Catholicism

In this session, after briefly exploring Latin American Queer History, including the development of queer social movements, Antonio Ortega will spend the majority of the time telling stories of his work as a Gay activist in Mexico, helping to create contemporary queer history through media, politics, and political activism.
