Eisenhower Institute Live: Bold Women of the Eisenhower Era

Prof. Anne S. Douds is joined by four students to discuss their work on a book entitled Feminism, Leadership, and the 1950s: Bold Women of the Eisenhower Era. The work casts a modern leadership lens upon women’s work and experiences in the 1950s, including chapters on the history of feminism and evolution of leadership theory. This project has been undertaken by thirty-five Gettysburg College students who have immersed themselves in the 1950s to develop an understanding of how women exerted power and achieved change.
