Responsible Business: Capitalism in the 21st Century

Dr. Edward Freeman Elis and Signe Olsson Professor, Academic Director of the Institute for Business in Society, and Senior Fellow of the Olsson Center for Applied Ethics University of Virginia Darden School of Business

The lecture will focus on principles that undergird the new story of business that is emerging.  The principles include the importance of purpose and stakeholders a more robust understanding of business as embedded in society a more complex idea of the human beings who are engaged in business, and integrating business and ethics in everything a business does.
