Better Angels Skills Workshop
The Eisenhower Institute and The Campus Climate Study Implementation Group are hosting a Better Angels Skills Workshop on campus to help students and the local community practice communicating with friends and family members whose politics differ from their own. Better Angels Workshops teach skills for having respectful conversations that clarify differences, search for common ground, and affirm the importance of the relationship. They also give participants a safe environment to practice those skills.
Better Angels is a national citizens’ movement to reduce political polarization in the United States by bringing liberals and conservatives together to understand each other beyond stereotypes, forming red/blue community alliances, teaching practical skills for communicating across political differences, and making a strong public argument for depolarization.
In order to reserve your spot for the skills workshop please email Erika Butts, administrative services assistant at EI at email@example.com by Wednesday, November 13.
Saturday, November 16 at 1:00pm to 3:30pm
