Holding the Line

Event Title: Holding the Line: Gen. Jim Mattis as Secretary of Defense
Organization: EI-LEADERSHIP & PUBLIC AFFAIRS

For two years, Secretary of Defense James Mattis worked to restore America’s military might during the most challenging and unusual times the military has faced in generations. During this period, the Pentagon responded to challenges from North Korea, Iran, China, and Russia, defeated ISIS’s physical caliphate, and produced the first national defense strategy in a decade.

How did he do it? What challenges did we face? When it was all said and done, what did Snodgrass learn?

Commander Guy M. Snodgrass, USN (ret.) is the CEO of Defense Analytics. A recently retired U.S. Navy fighter pilot, commanding officer, and TOPGUN instructor, Guy served as Secretary Mattis’s director of communications and chief speechwriter.

Commander Snodgrass’s book, Holding the Line: Inside Trump's Pentagon with Secretary Mattis, will be available for purchase after the discussion ($25; cash or credit card).

It's not clear from the announcement who is actually speaking--is it Snodgrass or Mattis? (Using his first name later on just leads to more confusion.). Perhaps there could be a title or at least some kind of indication of who's actually going to be on campus? Thank you!
